Rule 87

Provision of candidature in promotion examination by internal competition

(1) According to the advertisement published in accordance with Rule 86, the following employees who have reached the service period and educational qualification as per Section 21 of the Act can be candidates:-
(a) Employees employed in the Civil Service in a position below the post to be promoted for the post of Gazetted Second Class, Service as per Legislature-Parliament Secretariat Act, 2064 and Service as per Nepal Health Service Act, 2053.
(b) For gazetted first class posts, civil servants of the concerned service working in gazetted second class posts.
(2) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rule (1), civil servants as per sub-section (6) of section 7 of the Act may be candidates for the second category post under the gazette as per the advertisement published in accordance with rule 86.
